An absolute must-visit in Mexico City! Il Ritrovo is easily one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to, not just in CDMX but anywhere. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed with a warm, authentic atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The food is outstanding — every dish feels carefully crafted with high-quality ingredients and genuine passion. The pizzas are unforgettable: thin, crisp crusts with toppings that strike the perfect balance of flavor. The pastas taste homemade, rich, and comforting — the lasagna in particular is exceptional. Don’t miss the desserts; their tiramisù is honestly world-class. Service is attentive, friendly, and makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re coming for a romantic dinner, a family meal, or simply to treat yourself, Il Ritrovo delivers every time. Truly a hidden gem that deserves to be at the top of every food lover’s list in Mexico City!

Il Ritrovo is, without a doubt, our favorite place for authentic Italian cuisine in CDMX. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. We kicked off our meal with their mouth-watering charcuterie board, and let me tell you, it was a thing of beauty. The meats were perfectly cured and seasoned, and the cheeses were divine. It was the perfect appetizer to start off our Italian feast. For our main course, we decided to go for the pizza and the bolonesa, and boy were we in for a treat. Let me tell you, the pizza crust was particularly amazing - perfectly crispy and chewy. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and we were absolutely blown away by how delicious it was. As for the bolonesa, it was hearty and savory, with a perfect balance of spices and tomato sauce that made us want to lick our plates clean. Overall, we were more than satisfied with our meal - the pizza and bolonesa were the perfect combination of flavors, and we left feeling happy and full. The ambiance of Il Ritrovo is cozy and inviting, and the service was impeccable. It's the perfect spot for a romantic date night or an evening out with friends. All in all, if you're looking for a top-notch Italian dining experience in CDMX, Il Ritrovo is the place to be. From the delectable charcuterie board to the savory pizza and bolonesa, you won't be disappointed. Head on over and indulge in some of the best Italian cuisine in the city!

Hole in the wall Italian restaurant. It is quaint, good food and service. Have visited several times, it’s always good.

Small, cozy place. Perfect for a nice family dinner. We tried three different pizzas and really enjoyed them. It’s Roman-style pizza with thin, soft dough, accompanied by rich toppings.

Very small, almost hole in the wall but the food was amazing. Would give this place a 5 if it weren't for the rude service. They don't appear to be too friendly with foreigners. I ordered the pasta Bolognese and it was very good. My group also got a mozeralla pizza and it was amazing. Truly one of the better food we had in CDMX.

Cozy small place in a marrow alley, making it difficult to see from a distance but offering a quiet atmosphere for a nice dinner. Lasagna was okay, drinks were good (both wine and Sangria). Service was respectful and quick.

It was actually quite good and very similar to an authentic Italian restaurant you might find in Italy. he place is in Zona Rosa but still away enough to be quite and cozy. The place is small but the food very delicious and fresh. I had the mozzarella with tomato as an appetizer and then a pizza. I ate it all! (All pictures taken with Pixel 3 XL)

It was very good. A calm little hidden spot in the very lively and loud neighbourhood. I would gladly return.
